Main topics
Hear from a highly experienced thesis supervisor and examiner on what examiners look for in a good masters or doctoral thesis. Professor Alan Brown will discuss key do's and don'ts in a thesis and outline the requirements and expectations of each chapter. The presentation will include an examination of actual comments made by examiners and how to deal with these.
If you are a research student or a supervisor, then this workshop will offer useful insights and tips on how to maximise your opportunity to produce a quality thesis. The session will be interactive and allow time for questions and discussion of key points.
Professor Alan Brown has examined over 20 theses from universities around the world and also supervises a large number of doctoral and masters research students. These include international and Australian students. He has successfully supervised the completion of over 20 doctoral students in the business discipline. Professor Brown has been recognised as a Fellow of the Australian and New Zealand Academy of Management for his significant contribution to management teaching and research.
