Best Paper & Presentation Awards

The Best Paper Award

The Best paper award has been established with the purpose of honoring the author(s) of a paper of exceptional merit dealing with a particular subject area related to the conference themes.

For each of the three conferences taking place during the congress; one paper presenter would be recognized and based on a preferred set of criteria:

The jury will select the winners of the award based on the following criteria:

  1. Contribution to the literature and advancement of knowledge
  2. Originality of the work presented
  3. Relevance of the paper to the conference theme
  4. Technical strength (compliance with manuscript format and style guide of the conference)

 

Best Presentation Award

The Best Presentation Award is established with the purpose of recognizing the best presentation taking place during each of the three conferences. Members of the jury will select the winner based on:

  1. The scientific content of the paper being presented (i.e. originality, significance, etc.)
  2. The quality of the presentation (i.e. clarity, layout & design, etc.)
  3. The presentation itself (i.e. how well the speaker was able to deliver a stimulating talk, abidance by allocated time, and effectiveness of the communication of the concept to the audience, etc.)

 

Award Presentations

The awards for the Best Paper and the Best Presentation will be announced during the Annual Congress Gala Dinner.

Eligibility for Awards

All accepted papers presented during the congress are eligible for consideration for the awards, excluding those authored by HBMeU full-time faculty and staff members. To be considered for one of these awards, the papers must have been reviewed by the Technical Committee of the related conference and the final version must have been accepted by the committee for presentation at one of the congress’ streams. The paper must be original and must not have been submitted anywhere else for possible presentation or publication. In addition only papers which were presented will be considered.

In relation to the Best Presentation Award, the candidate for the award must be both, the first author of the paper and the presenting author. Benefits for Award Winners

  1. The winners of the Best Paper and Best Presentation Awards are recognized during the Gala Dinner of the Congress.
  2. Winners will be awarded a dated Framed Certificate and a Plaque -- engraving the contribution as Best Paper Award or Best Presentation Award.
  3. Names, photograph and abstract of the winning paper/presentation will be published on the Congress website.
  4. Winners of the award will be granted a one-year free subscription to the scholarly journals published by HBMeU.
  5. Papers of the award-winners will be published in the scholarly journals of HBMeU with a citation that the paper/ presentation received the award during the conference.
